Many are affected by drug or alcohol addiction as well. It is an increasingly prominent issue that runs rampant in the Military and Air Force. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that a day of battle is filled with more stress than the stress experienced by non-military individuals experience in a year. Reaching out for relief from the daily stress can mean taking a drink or any intoxicating drug that is available.
Substance Abuse Rehabs for Air Force Personnel offer assistance to Air Force personnel and their families who are addicted. Tricare insurance works with residential rehabilitation centers, clinics and its own staff of physicians. Regular testing is carried out on members and clinical services are mandatory for any member diagnosed as a substance abuser.
The normal policy is to place the addict in a treatment environment with as little restriction as possible. These environments range from short-term outpatient or inpatient care to entering an inpatient residential treatment facility with an indeterminate length of treatment time depending on the needs of each individual. Since the Air Force has no inpatient residential facilities, the ADAPT staff usually calls upon the local Tricare Service Center for assistance who arrange residential treatment for the chronic cases.
Aftercare is a continuation of help provided (as the name indicates) after being released from the residential rehab program. Aftercare plays a crucial role in continued abstinence which in turn helps the individual to meet Air Force standards once again.
The inpatient rehab centers, clinics and outpatient rehab programs offer assistance to Air Force personnel and their families who are plagued with addiction. Tricare insurance works with those facilities as well as its own staff of physicians. Tricare Insurance has been successful in assisting Air Force personnel to overcome drug addiction and in successfully returning to active duty. Once a patient returns for a substance abuse rehab for Air Force Personnel, he is carefully monitored as he once again begins to perform his duties as a useful, responsible member of the United States Air Force.
